AI & Client-Built Website Hosting Policy

01When this policy applies

This policy applies to websites, code, scripts and applications supplied by you or a third party and not developed under a LittleGoliath development agreement. This includes AI-generated code, exported site-builder projects, purchased templates and custom HTML, CSS or JavaScript websites.

These projects are self-managed unless a written agreement expressly includes management. The same responsibilities apply regardless of which tool generated the code. Work commissioned from LittleGoliath remains governed by its accepted scope; the use of AI within our workflow does not remove our agreed responsibilities. Read this policy with the Terms of Service.

02What the hosting service includes

We supply the hosting resources and platform features described in your selected package. Hosting does not, by itself, include uploading, installing, configuring, deploying or publishing your website. It also does not include code review, content approval, application testing or development support.

You or your developer must supply a complete project and arrange its deployment. If you need us to assist, request a separate quotation and agree the scope before work begins. Giving us access to files is not acceptance of an obligation to repair or manage them.

03Check compatibility before launch

Confirm that your project runs within the software versions, runtime, database, storage and resource limits of the selected hosting environment. A preview inside an AI tool or site builder does not prove that its export will run on shared hosting.

Projects may depend on build steps, APIs, paid subscriptions or external services not included in your package. We are not required to install unsupported components, weaken security settings or provide a specialised runtime under a standard package. Tell us your requirements before ordering so we can assess the appropriate service.

04Functionality, testing & maintenance

You are responsible for checking the completed website before and after publication. Test layouts, mobile behaviour, forms, checkout, email, links, accessibility, browser compatibility and integrations. Verify generated copy, images, calculations and business logic.

Standard hosting support does not include repairing broken HTML, CSS or JavaScript, missing assets, incomplete exports, API errors, search optimisation or problems introduced by later edits. You must maintain the application and its dependencies. We may quote for an assessment or repair, or decline work outside our capability or service scope; accepting an assessment does not guarantee a repair outcome.

05Application security & credentials

Server-level protections, caching and malware tools do not certify your application or replace secure development. We do not automatically audit uploaded code. Review authentication, permissions, form validation, database queries, file uploads and dependencies, and remove unnecessary services.

Keep software and libraries current, use least-privilege access, protect API keys and passwords, and keep secrets out of public repositories and browser code. You are responsible for your users and appointed developers. Notify us promptly of a suspected compromise and cooperate with containment and remediation.

06Content rights, AI outputs & personal information

You must have the rights needed to use and publish your code, images, fonts and other material. Review the licences and terms of AI tools, templates and third-party components. Generated output can contain errors, misleading claims or material that infringes another person’s rights; hosting does not constitute our approval of it.

You remain responsible for the lawful collection and use of your visitors’ and customers’ information, appropriate notices and consents, and secure processing. Do not place confidential or personal information into AI services without the necessary authority and safeguards. Our Privacy Policy explains our role as a hosting provider.

07Unsafe applications & service restrictions

Do not host malware, phishing, unlawful content, spam systems, exposed credentials or applications that materially threaten other services. A vulnerable site or uncontrolled script can affect the whole hosting environment.

We may isolate files or restrict the affected service when reasonably necessary to contain a threat, resource disruption or unlawful activity. Urgent containment can happen before notice; otherwise we will explain the issue and required remedy where practical, subject to law. You or your developer must correct the application before normal service can safely resume. Additional remedial work requires an agreed scope and any applicable quotation.

08Availability & third-party dependencies

Any infrastructure commitment expressly included in your package continues to apply. We do not separately guarantee that client-supplied code will function continuously, achieve a performance score or remain compatible with every external service.

DNS changes, expired API credentials, software defects and third-party outages may affect your website even while the hosting platform is working. You must monitor and maintain those dependencies. Nothing in this policy excludes responsibility for our own services or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

09Keep independent backups

Keep current copies of your source code, deployable files, databases, configuration and required assets outside the hosting account. Store secrets securely and test restoration. Do this before significant changes, migrations and cancellation.

Server backups, if expressly included in a package, supplement rather than replace your own recovery plan. Retention, availability and restoration scope depend on that service; recovery of every change or deleted file is not guaranteed. Standard email hosting has no included mailbox backup; see the Email Policy.

10Need a managed solution?

If you want us to take responsibility for design, implementation or ongoing maintenance, ask about a LittleGoliath website package or a separately scoped development service. Support and maintenance are included only to the extent stated in the chosen agreement.
