AI generated content hosting policy

CLIENT-BUILT AND AI-GENERATED WEBSITE HOSTING POLICY

Little Goliath (Pty) Ltd
Effective date: 14 May 2026

1. Purpose of this policy

This policy applies to websites that have been created, generated, coded, exported or assembled by a client or third party without the involvement of Little Goliath. This includes websites created using artificial intelligence tools, automated website generators, downloadable templates, HTML builders or other third-party platforms.

These websites are accepted for hosting on a strictly self-managed basis.

2. Hosting-only service

Little Goliath provides server space and the hosting services included in the client’s selected hosting package.

Hosting a website does not mean that Little Goliath has:

  • Designed or developed the website;
  • Reviewed, tested or approved its source code;
  • Confirmed that the website is secure;
  • Confirmed that it works correctly;
  • Confirmed that it is compatible with our servers;
  • Verified the accuracy, legality or ownership of its content;
  • Agreed to maintain or support the website; or
  • Accepted responsibility for how the website operates.

The client remains fully responsible for the website and all associated files, code, scripts, forms, integrations and external services.

3. Website uploads and deployment

Little Goliath does not upload, configure, install, deploy or publish client-built or AI-generated websites as part of a standard hosting package.

The client must upload and manage the website using the access details and facilities provided with the hosting account.

If Little Goliath agrees to assist with an upload or deployment, this must be separately quoted and accepted in writing. Such assistance does not make Little Goliath responsible for the website or its future operation.

4. No website support

Technical support for client-built or AI-generated websites is not included.

Little Goliath will not be responsible for investigating or correcting issues involving:

  • Broken layouts or mobile responsiveness;
  • HTML, CSS or JavaScript errors;
  • Forms that do not submit or deliver email;
  • Missing images, fonts or other website assets;
  • Third-party APIs or integrations;
  • Browser compatibility;
  • Search engine performance;
  • AI-generated coding errors;
  • Incomplete or incorrectly exported website files;
  • Website updates or content changes;
  • Accessibility issues;
  • Performance problems caused by the website’s code; or
  • Features that stop working after a browser, server or third-party service is updated.

Little Goliath may decline requests to repair or modify a client-built website. If assistance is available, it will be treated as a separate development service and quoted accordingly, without any guarantee that the website can be repaired.

5. Website and application security

Little Goliath applies reasonable security measures to its hosting environment. However, these measures do not constitute a security guarantee for websites created or supplied by clients or third parties.

Little Goliath does not review AI-generated or client-supplied code for vulnerabilities, malicious code, exposed credentials, insecure forms, unsafe scripts or outdated third-party libraries.

The client is responsible for:

  • Ensuring that the website code is safe and suitable for public use;
  • Keeping all code, scripts and third-party libraries updated;
  • Protecting passwords, API keys and access credentials;
  • Securing forms and preventing spam or automated abuse;
  • Protecting personal and confidential information;
  • Monitoring the website for compromises or unauthorised changes;
  • Arranging security testing where appropriate; and
  • Remedying vulnerabilities identified in the website.

Little Goliath will not be liable for a website compromise, data loss, code injection, malware infection, form abuse or unauthorised access caused by or connected to client-supplied website code, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Availability and uptime

Little Goliath does not guarantee that a client-built or AI-generated website will remain available, error-free or functional at all times.

Website availability may be affected by:

  • Coding errors;
  • Missing or damaged files;
  • External APIs and third-party services;
  • Domain or DNS configuration;
  • Excessive resource usage;
  • Security threats;
  • Browser or technology changes;
  • Scheduled or emergency maintenance;
  • Network or infrastructure failures; or
  • Events beyond Little Goliath’s reasonable control.

Any infrastructure availability commitments expressly included in the client’s hosting package remain subject to Little Goliath’s general hosting terms. No separate or additional uptime guarantee applies to the operation of a client-built website.

7. Compatibility and server resources

The client is responsible for ensuring that the website is compatible with the hosting environment.

Little Goliath is not required to change its server configuration, weaken security controls, install unsupported software or enable unsafe functionality to accommodate a client-built website.

Websites that negatively affect server performance, security, email reputation or other hosting clients may be restricted, isolated or suspended.

8. Malware and harmful content

The client may not upload files that contain malware, phishing content, malicious scripts, unauthorised copyrighted material or code that threatens the hosting environment.

Little Goliath may suspend or remove access to a website where there is a reasonable concern that it:

  • Has been compromised;
  • Contains malicious or vulnerable code;
  • Is being used for spam, phishing or unlawful activity;
  • Places other hosting accounts at risk; or
  • Consumes excessive server resources.

Where practical, Little Goliath will notify the client of the reason for the restriction. The client remains responsible for arranging the cleaning, repair or replacement of the website.

9. Backups and recovery

The client must keep an independent and current backup of the complete website.

Any server backups provided by Little Goliath are governed by the applicable hosting package and must not be treated as the client’s only backup.

Little Goliath does not guarantee that a specific backup will be available, complete or suitable for restoring a client-built website.

10. Personal information and legal compliance

The client is responsible for ensuring that the website complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, where the website collects or processes personal information.

This includes providing appropriate privacy notices, obtaining required consent, protecting submitted information and managing any third-party services used by the website.

The client is also responsible for ensuring that all text, images, logos, code and other material used on the website may lawfully be used.

11. Recommended managed website option

Clients who require a professionally developed, maintained and supported website are encouraged to use Little Goliath’s WordPress website development services.

A website developed by Little Goliath can include professional design, mobile responsiveness, tested functionality, security configuration, search engine readiness and ongoing support, depending on the package selected.

These services are separate from self-managed HTML hosting and will be quoted according to the client’s requirements.

12. Acceptance

By uploading, publishing or operating a client-built, third-party or AI-generated website on Little Goliath’s hosting platform, the client confirms that they:

  • Understand that the service is provided on a hosting-only basis;
  • Accept responsibility for the website and its code;
  • Understand that website development, maintenance and troubleshooting are not included;
  • Accept the security and availability limitations described in this policy; and
  • Agree to Little Goliath’s general hosting terms and acceptable use requirements.

Little Goliath reserves the right to amend this policy when its services, security requirements or applicable regulations change.
